The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is one of the best-selling cars in the country and is offered as feature-rich and practical rivals like the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, Toyota Glanza, and the now ageing Honda Jazz. Having said this, the new Baleno recently became the best-selling car in India after leaving behind the Maruti Suzuki Swift. For those wondering, while Maruti sold a total of 18592 units of the Baleno in February 2023, only 18412 units of the Swift were sold in India while a total of 18114 units of the Alto found buyers in the country last month. Having said this, here are all the factors that have helped the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno become the best-selling car in India in February 2023.

To start with, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is one of the best-looking cars in the segment and it has always been one of the strongest parameters that help the Baleno dominate the competition. The premium hatchback is also offered with a 1.2L CNG engine that delivers 77.4 PS of peak power and 98.5 Nm torque in the CNG mode. The CNG engine is only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox only.
