Midsize SUVs are currently getting extremely popular in the country and are enjoying strong demand in the market. A number of carmakers will soon be launching their new offerings in this segment and Maruti is also gearing up to launch a new Tata-Nexon-based premium midsize SUV to take on the rivals like the VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. To be called the Tata Blackbird, here is everything you should know about the new upcoming Tata-Nexon-based coupe midsize SUV in India.
Exterior Design
From what we know so far, this new SUV will share most of its styling cues with the Tata Nexon but will boast a slightly larger footprint and a more aggressive road presence. For starters, it is likely to get a new front fascia that will be largely dominated by a new front grille, bold headlamps, and a new bumper with a faux skid plate in the centre. The hood will also get strong character lines and will give the Tata Blackbird a strong front fascia. The side profile will be largely dominated by the coupe-like slopping roofline, new alloy wheels, and prominent shoulder lines. In addition to this, the Blackbird might also offer a longer wheelbase when compared to the Tata Nexon. At the rear, you will notice a prominent coupe-like look with a sloping rear glass and bulky rear bumper. More details however are yet to be known.
