The Volkswagen Tiguan is one of the most practical and best-selling SUVs in the brand’s line-up and is known for its powerful powertrain options, feature-rich cabin, attractive design and strong dynamics. The SUV is long due for a major update and the brand has been working on the next-gen iteration of the Tiguan for a long time now. The test mules of the next-gen Volkswagen Tiguan 2024 were recently spied testing on foreign soil and have revealed a number of significant details about this new SUV. Here are all details that you should know about the upcoming 2024 VW Tiguan.

For starters, the new 2024 VW Tiguan will continue to retain its characteristic silhouette and clean design language. The test mules also featured strong and sophisticated character lines and aggressive creases. Other prominent changes include a new front fascia that is largely dominated by new LED lights and an elegant front grille. The new bumper looks rather busy and also houses in C-shaped LED DRLs on either side. The alloy wheels however look rather simple and gel in well with the overall design. You will also notice that the side door handles are placed lower than before.

At the rear, you do get an updated LED design, a new bumper and a clean design. Lower down, the bumper features a faux-quad tip design garnished by prominent chrome elements. The bumper however looks much more subtle when compared to the front. In all, the new VW Tiguan next-gen model does boast a strong road presence and subtle changes it gets do help it look better and more mature than before.

Just like the exterior design, the cabin layout too has been heavily updated. To start with, it is likely to be offered with a new free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a new and bigger digital instrument cluster, and a revised centre console layout. If reports are to be believed, the brand might utilise the same instrument cluster that we get with the VW ID.4. Other features include a large sunroof, automatic climate control, wireless charging pad, cooled storage box, push-button start, connected car tech, steering mounted controls, ambient lighting and power operated front seats. The brand might also offer features like seat ventilation and heating function on select trims.

As far as powertrain options are concerned, the new gen Volkswagen Tiguan is expected to be offered with both petrol as well as diesel engine options while we might also get a few hybrid powertrain options that will meet the upcoming Euro 7 emission norms. The German carmaker might also offer an all-electric version of the SUV after a few years of the launch.

Volkswagen is however yet to reveal the official launch timeline of the VW Tiguan in the market. In India, the German carmaker is currently likely to launch its first electric car to take on the rivals like the Kia EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq.
