From what we know so far, the new YTB SUV will be utilising the same Heartect modular platform that underpins the Maruti Baleno. The YTB however will be slightly larger in terms of footprint and will also boast a stronger road presence. The new YTM will boast a high ground clearance in addition to machine-cut alloy wheels, projector LED lights, chrome elements, and bold styling.

Cabin

Just like the Maruti Baleno, the upcoming Maruti YTB will also offer an all-black cabin but will feature an updated dashboard layout. In addition to this, the new YTB SUV will also get a spacious and comfortable cabin while the in-cabin experience too is expected to be better than the Baleno. A high-seating position will further help in improving the visibility for the occupants and the driver.

Same Powertrain

The Maruti Baleno in India is available only with a 1.2L NA petrol engine the upcoming YTB is also expected to feature the same powertrain for the buyers. This engine is expected to be offered with 5-speed manual gearbox and six-speed automatic torque converter automatic gearbox options. The Indian carmaker however might also offer a more powerful 1.5L K15C mild-hybrid powertrain option with the new upcoming YTB SUV in India. The same engine is currently being offered with other Maruti cars like the Brezza, Ciaz, Ertiga, and the XL6.

Features

The upcoming Maruti YTB SUV is expected to be offered with a long list of features like automatic climate control, steering mounted controls, wireless mobile charging pad, air purifier, push-button start, and more. In addition to this, the Maruti YTB SUV is also expected to be offered with other features like a large sunroof, auto-dimming IRVM, connected car tech, mobile phone connectivity, digital instrument console, electrically operated ORVMs, front seat ventilation, and more.

Launch date

While the brand is yet to comment on the official launch timeline of the new YTB SUV, it is currently expecting that the new YTB will make its Indian debut only after the first quarter of 2023. The new YTB is expected to be priced from Rs 9-10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base variant and will take on the rivals like the Nissan magnite and the Renault Kiger.
