The Hero Maestro Edge-rivaling Honda Activa is currently the best-selling automatic scooter in India
The Honda Activa is a well-known name in the Indian automotive industry and is known for its supreme long-term reliability, comfortable suspension setup, and affordable maintenance. The Hona Activa 6G is currently one of the best-selling two-wheelers in India and takes on the rivals like the Hero Maestro Edge, and TVS Jupiter. While the Activa 6G was launched with a long list of updates including fuel injection, the brand is expected to launch the new Activa 7G with subtle updates to attract buyers. The Japanese brand recently teased the new upcoming Honda Activa 7G in India and here are the top 5 things that we know so far.
New Design
While the Activa 7G will continue to utilise the same underpinnings and mechanical components, the exterior design language is expected to feature sharper styling cues and a more aggressive stance. The Honda Activa 7G will also get updated colour options for the buyers, new LED headlights and revised rear styling. Moreover, we are also expecting Honda to offer an updated front fascia design that will now be complemented by chrome elements.

New Features
The new Honda Activa 7G will get many new features like all-LED lights, a multi-functional key console, an external fuel filling lid, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. Other features include electric start, side stand engine cut-off switch, combined braking system, and mobile connectivity system in addition to other features like USB charging ports and an in-built tracking system that will offer features like GPS tracking geo-fencing, and more.

Engine And Performance
Powering the new Honda Activa 7G will be the same 110cc petrol engine that powers the present iteration of the scooter. This engine churns out 7.68 bhp of maximum power and 8.79 Nm of peak torque output. It comes mated to a CVT gearbox and offers impressive refinement levels and performance. Fuel injection technology has further helped in improving the throttle response and low-end performance.

Variants And Price
Just like the present iteration, the new Honda Activa 7G will also be available in two variants – Standard And Deluxe. While the Activa 6G Standard is priced from Rs 72,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Activa 6G Deluxe on the other hand is priced at Rs 74,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The upcoming Honga 7G is expected to be slightly more expensive than the present iterations of the scooter.

Launch Date
It has been a while since Honda last updated the Activa in India and is expected to soon launch the updated Activa 7G model in India. While the brand is tight-lipped about the official launch timeline in India, we do expect it to launch the new Activa 7G near the festive season this year. Once launched in India, the new upcoming Honda Activa 7G will take on other 110cc petrol scooters in the market.
