Three-row SUVs are getting extremely famous in the country and multiple new brands will soon be launching multiple new offerings in the segment. These SUVs not only offer a spacious and comfortable cabin but in addition to this, also boasts strong practicality and an extensive features list. Multiple new brands including Maruti, Renault, Toyota, and Force Motors will be launching new SUVs and here are all the details to know about the upcoming 7-seater SUVs in 2023-24 that you should check out.
Upcoming 7-Seater Family SUVs in 2023-24
Citroen C3 Aircross
Citroen will soon be expanding its Indian portfolio with the launch of multiple new cars including the new Citroen C3 Aircross SUV. From what we know so far, this new SUV will be offered in two seating configurations – 5 seats and 7 seats. This new SUV will be underpinned by the same platform that underpins the C3 hatchback. The C3 Aricross has been spied on test at multiple durations and is likely to make debut by the end of 2023. As far as dimensions are concerned, the new Citroen C3 Aircross will measure around 4.3 metres in length and will boast a large and strong footprint. Once launched in India, this new SUV will take on the rivals like the Maruti XL6, Maruti Ertiga, and the Kia Carens. This new SUV is likely to feature the same 1.2L turbo petrol engine that churns out a peak power output of 110 bhp and a maximum torque output of 190 Nm. More details are yet to be known.

Maruti 7-Seater SUV
Maruti Suzuki is also working on a number of new models for the Indian market and is likely to launch a new 7-seater SUV based on the recently launched Grand Vitara SUV in the country. This new SUV will boast a similar exterior styling as the Grand Vitara but is likely to grow in size. Powering this new 7-seater SUV will be the same engine options – 1.5L K15C petrol engine and 1.5L Atkinson cycle petrol engine. The NA petrol engine delivers a peak power output of 103 bhp and will be offered of either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox option. The hybrid engine on the other hand delivers 79 bhp of maximum power while the peak torque output stands at 141 Nm. This engine however will only be offered with an e-CVT gearbox option. Inside, you will get a similar setup as the grand Vitara and the buyers will get features like a large sunroof, automatic climate, control cooled storage console, push-button start, ventilated front seats, electrically operated ORVMs, auto-dimming IRVMs, and more.

New Renault Duster
Renault will soon be launching multiple new cars and SUVs in the country including the new-gen Duster and the Kwid EV. The new-gen Duster will be offered in two seating layouts – 5 seats and 7 seats. From what we know so far, this new SUV will be underpinned by the CMF-B modular platform. This new platform will be underpinning a number of other upcoming SUVs and cars in the brand’s portfolio. From what we know so far, the new Duster will only be offered with petrol engine options and will be significantly larger than the last outgoing version of the SUV. Having said this, the new-gen Duster will boast a similar exterior styling as the recently revealed Dacia Bigster concept. Needless to say, the SUV will boast a long features list including features like sunroof, connected car tech, an infotainment system with all the latest mobile connectivity features, digital instrument console, a push-button start, and more.

Toyota Corolla Cross
It’s a no secret to anyone that Toyota is currently working on a number of new SUVs and MPVs for the Indian market. The list also includes a new three-row SUV which is based on the globally sold Corolla Cross. While the brand is yet to share more details about the new Corolla Cross, it will take on the rivals like the Hyundai Alcazar, Jeep Meridian, Mahindra XUV700, and the Hyundai Tucson. It will be underpinned by the TNGA-C platform which also underpins the Toyota Innova Hycross. This new crossover will be offered with many advanced features including an electrically operated tailgate, foldable rear seats, push-button start, automatic climate control, electrically operated ORVMs, ventilated front seats, ADAS, ESP, and traction control. The new Corolla Cross will be offered with the same engine options as the Hycross and will boast a premium and comfortable cabin for the buyers.

New Toyota Fortuner
The Toyota Fortuner is currently one of the best selling SUVs in the market and is known for its strong reliability, performance, and capabilities. The brand is working on the new Fortuner which will be launched somewhere in 2024. The new Fortuner will be underpinned by a new TNGA-F architecture and will be offered with a number of other styling updates and new features. The all-new Fortuner will be powered by a 1GD-FTV 2.8L diesel engine with mild hybrid tech and ISG (integrated starter generator). This new powertrain will not only offer strong performance but will also boast impressive fuel economy figures for the buyers. The new Fortuner is also likely to be offered with ADAS safety tech in addition to other safety features list including vehicle stability control and an electric steering wheel. Nissan X-Trail
The Nissan X-Trail was recently showcased in the country and has been spied on testing in the country on multiple occasions. To be launched in the country in late 2023, the new X-Trail SUV will be brought into the country via the CBU route and will be challenging the rivals like the Toyota Fortuner and the Jeep Meridian. The new Nissan X-Trail will be the first offering in the brand’s line-up to be offered with a 1.5L turbo petrol mild hybrid engine and a 1.5L turbo petrol engine with e-Power strong hybrid setup. The strong hybrid engine will also be offered with an e-Power setup and will boast strong performance and impressive fuel economy. It will also be the first offering in the brand’s line-up to be offered with ADAS safety suite. For those wondering, the Nissan X-Trail measures 4680 mm in length, 2065 mm in width and 1725 mm in height. On the features front, the new X-Trail will be offered with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a 360-degree camera, a 10.8-inch Head-Up Display (HUD), tri-zone climate control, electronic parking brake, LED headlamps and an electric tailgate. More details are yet to be shared by the brand.

Force Gurkha 5-Door
The new Gurkha 5-door will also make its debut in the country and will take on the rivals like the Maruti Jimny and the Mahindra Thar 5-door which will soon be launched in the market. The new Force Gurkha 5-door is likely to be offered in four seating layout options – 6, 7, 9, and 13 seats. For those wondering, the new Gurkha 5-door will be offered with the same 2.6L diesel engine that powers the standard three-door model. This Mercedes-sourced 2.6L turbo diesel engine develops a peak power output of 91 bhp while the maximum torque output stands at 250 Nm. This engine will only be offered with a manual gearbox option that channels power to all four wheels. It will continue to offer similar exterior styling and a cabin layout. The new Gurkha 5-door is likely to be around Rs 16-18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
