The new Toyota Glanza CNG will be the second premium hatchback in the country to be offered with a CNG powertrain after the new Baleno CNG
There is a strong demand for CNG cars in the country and a number of carmakers are currently launching new CNG cars in the country. Maruti Suzuki continues to dominate the CNG car segment and has one of the biggest CNG portfolios in the country. While the Indian carmaker recently launched the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG in the country, Toyota is also expected to soon launch the new Toyota Glanza CNG in India in the next few weeks. Having said this, the unofficial bookings for the new Toyota Glanza CNG are currently open at a few dealerships. Here are all the details you should know about the new Toyota Glanza CNG bookings in India.
Toyota Glanza CNG Bookings Open
To start with, the new Glanza CNG will continue to offer a similar exterior design while the dashboard layout too will be the same as the standard iterations. Having said this, the new Toyota Glanza CNG will be offered with similar powertrain options as the new Baleno CNG and will boast a strong performance and impressive claimed fuel economy figures.

For those wondering, the newly launched Maruti Baleno CNG is powered by an 1197 cc K12C engine that churns out a peak power output of 77.49 PS and maximum torque output of 98.5 Nm in CNG mode while the peak power and torque output in petrol mode stand at 89.73 PS and 113 Nm respectively. This engine comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and misses out on an AMT variant. The claimed fuel economy figures from this motor stand at 30.61 km/kg in CNG. We are expecting the same engine to be offered with the Toyota Glanza CNG.

On the features front, this new CNG premium hatchback is likely to be offered with features like connected car tech, 17.78 cc touchscreen infotainment system, on-board voice assistance, Android Auto, Apple Carplay, MID, LED projector headlamps, 60:40 split rear seats. Having said this, the new Glanza CNG also boasts a comfortable cabin that makes it a great family car.

In the Indian market, the new Toyota Glanza CNG will take on the rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG and other CNG cars in the market. It is likely to be around Rs 80,000-1 lakh more expensive when compared to the petrol versions.
While Toyota is yet to announce the official launch timeline of the new Glanza CNG in the country, unofficial bookings are currently open at the dealer level and interested buyers can book it by paying a pre-determined token amount. The official bookings however are yet to start in the country.
