Many new sedans including the new Honda City facelift will soon be launched in the country
Sedans are now again gaining popularity in the country and many brands will soon be expanding and updating their portfolio with the launch of new sedans. Many brands including Hyundai, Honda, Mercedes, and Maruti Suzuki will be launching new sedans and here are all the details you need to know about the upcoming sedans in India if you are planning to soon buy a new sedan in the coming months.
Upcoming Sedans In India
New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire
The new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire will make its debut next year and will take on the rivals like the Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura. From what we know so far, the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire will be offered with updated powertrain options, a new exterior design language, and an updated cabin. It will be offered with a new dashboard layout with a large touchscreen infotainment system in the centre and an automatic climate console at the bottom. A semi-digital instrument console will also be offered with the new Dzire while features like HUD, push-button start, connected car tech, and power-operated side mirrors. Maruti is yet to comment on the official launch timeline of the new Dzire in India.

New-Gen Honda Amaze
The Honda Amaze is the only compact sedan in the country to be offered with a diesel engine option and is also one of the most comfortable offerings in the market. In addition to the diesel engine, the Amaze is also offered with a 1.2L NA petrol engine. Both these engines are offered with manual as well as automatic gearbox options. Having said this, the brand will soon be launching the new-gen Amaze in the country in the coming months. The new iteration of the Honda Amaze will be offered with a revised front styling, a new dashboard layout, and a more comfortable cabin. On the features front, the new Amaze will be offered with a touchscreen infotainment system, semi-digital instrument console, steering mounted control, automatic climate control, power windows, push-button start and more. The brand is also expected to offer updated powertrain options with the new Amaze while the diesel engine is most likely to be discontinued. The brand is yet to comment on the official launch timeline of the new Honda Amaze in India.

2023 Honda City Facelift
In addition to the new Honda Amaze facelift, Honda is also working on launching the new City facelift model soon. The new Honda City facelift will be making its debut in the next couple of months and will be offered with two engine options – 1.5L NA petrol and 1.5L Atkinson cycle petrol. In addition to the powertrain updates, the new Honda City facelift will also boast updated exterior styling, a revised features list, and new colour options. On the design front, the new City will feature a new front grille, revised front bumper styling, new headlamps cluster, updated alloy wheel design, tweaked tail light design, and more. Inside, the new Honda City facelift will be offered with automatic climate control, steering mounted control, a digital instrument console, a large sunroof, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and more. Once launched, the new Honda City facelift will take on the rivals like the Hyundai Verna, VW Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

2023 Skoda Octavia RS iV Hybrid
The Skoda Octavia RS iV Hybrid is also likely to make its debut in the coming months. This new version of the Octavia will boast aggressive exterior styling with attractive colour options, large alloy wheels, LED lights, and more. Powering the sedan will be the 1.4L TSI petrol engine that churns out a peak power output of 150 hp. This engine comes combined with a single electric motor that delivers 116 hp. The combined power and torque output from this setup stands at 245 hp and 400 Nm respectively. More details will soon be shared by the brand ahead of the launch in the country.

New-Gen Hyundai Verna 2023
The Hyundai Verna is one of the best-selling sedans in the country and the brand will soon be launching the next-gen version of the sedan in the country. The new-gen Hyundai Verna will be underpinned by a new platform and will boast a more spacious and comfortable cabin. On the design front, the new Hyundai Verna boasts an aggressive and sharp design language which is largely dominated by a massive front grille and sharp headlights. Inside, the new Verna will boast features like a large sunroof, automatic climate control, digital instrument console, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, push-button start, and more. Unlike before, the new-gen Hyundai Verna will not be offered with diesel powertrain options. From what we know so far, Hyundai will be offering the new Verna with 2 engine options – 1.5L NA petrol and 1.5L turbo petrol. Both these engines will not only boast strong performance but will be offered with both manual as well as automatic gearbox options. Once launched, the new Hyundai Verna will take on the rivals like the Honda City, VW Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

Mercedes Benz A-Class Facelift
Expected to make its debut by mid-2023, the new Mercedes Benz A-Class facelift will boast many new features and a number of exterior styling updates. For those wondering, the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class facelift will get a revised front end, new LED lights, and new daytime running lights (DRLs). No major changes will be made to the rear profile of this premium sedan. Inside, it will be offered with latest-gen MBUX system in addition to other features like automatic climate control, steering mounted controls, a digital instrument console, a large sunroof, and more. Powering the new Mercedes Benz A-Class facelift will be a new plug-in hybrid variant in addition to the existing 2.0L diesel engine. The brand is likely to price it from Rs 45-50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is yet to comment on the official launch timeline. More details however are yet to be known.

Volvo S60 Facelift
Volvo S60 facelift will also make its debut in the country and will be offered with mild updates. Outside, it will get a slightly tweaked front fascia with a new front grille, a new rear profile, and hidden exhaust pipes. The sedan will also feature new alloy wheels. Inside, the new S60 facelift will boast features like a new Android-based infotainment system with apps like Google Maps, Google Assistant and Google Play Store. In India, it will only be offered with a 2.0L petrol model while the global version is also offered with a diesel engine option. While the brand is yet to comment on the official specs, the same engine delivered 190 hp in the earlier version. More details will be shared ahead of the launch of the sedan in the market.
