With demand for CNG cars rising steadily, many carmakers are currently working on expanding their CNG portfolios in the country. After launching the Tata Tiago CNG and the Tata Tigor CNG, Tata recently revealed the new Tata Punch CNG and the Tata Altroz CNG at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2023. While the brand is yet to officially launch the two CNG cars in India, it did reveal almost all the important specs and details for the buyers. Exterior Design And Dimensions

No changes have been made to the exterior styling of the new Tata Punch CNG and the micro-SUV continues to boast a bold and upright stance that gives it a strong SUV road presence. The high set hood along with top-mounted LED DRLs and bumper-mounted headlights might remind you of the Tata Harrier and in all, the Tata Punch does boast an impressive exterior design.  Likewise, the side profile is dominated by a tall stance, prominent body cladding, and a large window area. The rear however looks subtle and gets simple and small taillights that look like the ones we get with the Nexon. As far as dimensions are concerned, the Tata Punch measures 3821 mm in size, 1742 mm in width, 1615 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2445 mm.

Engine, Gearbox, And Performance

The Tata Punch iCNG is powered by a 1.2L Revotorn Bi-Fuel CNG engine that churns out a peak power output of 77 PS while the peak torque output stands at 97 Nm. this engine is only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Needless to say, the overall performance offered by the new Tata Punch is impressive and a strong-low end makes it a great car for everyday commute. Other than this, the Tata Punch is only offered with 1.2L Revotron petrol engine that can be had either with a manual or an automatic gearbox.
