With the automotive market getting back into action, the two-wheelers segment in India is registering strong growth in the country. We saw significant growth in sales of two-wheelers in the April-September 2022 period and here are all the details that you should check out about the top 10 best-selling scooters in the Indian market. Mentioned below is a detailed breakup of the total sales in April-September 2022 and a quick comparison with total sales in the same period in the previous year.

The Honda Activa is currently the best selling two-wheeler in the market and dominated the FY2023 with a total sales of 11,77,626 units after recording a 41 per cent YoY growth. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India currently has a 48.56 per cent market share in the segment while the Activa on its own has around 43 per cent share in the total scooter sales volume.

The TVS Jupiter is currently one of the strongest rivals to the Honda Activa and registered a total sales of 3,97,984 units in the first half of FY2023. It recorded a 95 per cent growth and has around 14 per cent share of the market.

The third position was secured by Suzuki Access after it registered a total sales figure of 2,31,438 units. While it continues to have around 8 per cent market share, the total sales were down by 2 per cent when compared to the same period last year.

The Honda Dio is known for its aggressive looks and refined package and the brand sold a total of 1,58,917 units in April-September 2022 as against 1,20,007 units in 2021 in the same period.

The TVS NTorq stood in the fifth spot and the brand registered a total sales of 1,57,526 units in Apr-Sep 2022. The Ntorq is currently one of the fastest and most fun-to-drive scooters in the segment.
