The all-new Tata Tiago NRG CNG has been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 7.39 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi. It is Tata’s third CNG car in India. 

Tata Motors has launched the new CNG version of the Tiago NRG in the Indian market. The all-new Tata Tiago NRG CNG has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 7.39 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi. The company has offered this cross-hatch in two variants. It is worth mentioning that the Tiago NRG is Tata Motors’ third CNG car in India after the CNG-powered Tiago and Tigor.

Tata Tiago NRG CNG: Price and Rivals

Tata Motors is offering the new Tiago NRG in two variants: XT and the top-spec XZ. While the XT variant has been priced at Rs 7.39 lakh, the iCNG XZ variant will retail at Rs 7.79 lakh, ex-showroom. The company is charging a premium of around Rs 90,000 for the bi-fuel iCNG versions over their petrol-only counterparts. It is offered in four colour schemes: Foresta Green, Fire Red, Polar White, and Cloudy Grey.

Tata Tiago NRG CNG: Engine and Gearbox

The Tata Tiago NRG CNG is powered by the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated bi-fuel petrol engine that does its duty in the regular Tiago and Tigor iCNG as well. It churns out 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque in the petrol mode. However, in the CNG mode, its power output reduces to deliver 73 PS and 95 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Its ARAI-certified mileage figures haven’t been revealed yet.

In line with Tata Motors’ ‘New Forever’ brand philosophy of continuously refreshing our portfolio, we are delighted to launch the iCNG avatar of the Tiago NRG.”
