The Tata Tiago NRG CNG will be positioned above the Tata Tiago CNG in India and is likely to share its CNG powertrain with the Tiago
Following strong demand in the market, a number of brands are now expanding their CNG portfolio in the country and Tata Motors is also gearing up to launch yet another CNG car in India soon. If reports are to be believed, the Indian carmaker will be soon launching the Tata Tiago NRG CNG in India in November 2022 to take on the rivals like the Celerio CNG and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG. Here are all the details about the upcoming Tata Tiago NGR CNG in the Indian market.
Tata Tiago NRG CNG Launch Soon
For starters, the new Tiago NRG CNG will be powered by the same 1.2L engine that is also offered with the Tata Tiago iCNG. This engine churns out a peak power output of 72 bhp and a maximum torque output of 95 Nm while running on CNG. It is only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Needless to say, no automatic variants will be on offered for the buyers.

Having said this, the new Tata Tiago NRG CNG will continue to offer a more rugged version of the Tiago hatchback and is offered with prominent plastic cladding, a silver skid plate at the front, roof rails, and a tweaked suspension setup. In addition to this, the car also boasts a ground clearance of 181 mm and rides on 14-inch hyper style wheels. The brand confirmed the launch of the new Tiago NRG CNG in the country and shared a detailed official notification with all the dealers across the country.

“Tiago NRG styling and SUV design have been appreciated by the customers ever since its launch. The facelift and BS6 upgrade in 2021 made it more premium and appealing. It has set benchmarks in its segment with its best-in-class Features, Drive-ability, Safety and Comfort”. reads the note shared by Tata Motors with the dealers.
Having said this, just like the Tata Tiago CNG, the Tiago NRG CNG is also expected to be offered with a large touchscreen infotainment system with Harman-powered audio setup, dual front airbags, electrically operated mirrors, ABS, and ABD in addition to features like Android Auto, Apple Carplay, rear park assist, and rear camera.

Tata Motors is currently gearing up to launch the new Harrier facelift and the Safari facelift models that are expected to be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023. In addition to this, the Indian carmaker is also likely to launch the new Altroz EV and the Punch EV in India soon while the possibility of the launch of the Tata Nexon CNG too can’t be ruled out as of now.
