Tata Harrier Facelift Launch Timeline Revealed - All Details

The Tata Safari and the Tata Harrier facelift models will be offered with a long list of new features, updated design, and better safety

Tata Motors is all set to launch multiple new products in the year 2023 and will give stiff competition to the rivals in the country. The Indian carmaker is also gearing up to launch the new Harrier facelift and the Safari facelift in early 2023 and will offer them with many major upgrades including the ADAS safety suite. The official launch timeline of the new Harrier and the Safari facelift models was also shared by the brand and here are all the details you need to know about these upcoming premium Tata SUVs in India.

Tata Harrier Facelift, Safari Facelift Launch Timeline Revealed

For starters, both SUVs will be offered with updated exterior styling that will be dominated by a new front fascia, new alloy wheels, and updated rear styling. For those wondering, it will get a newly-designed front grille, new headlamps, new bumpers, and updated LED tail lights. It will also get new machine-cut alloy wheels. Having said this, both vehicles will continue to get similar dimensions. For a quick reference, the new Harrier facelift is likely to measure 4598mm in length, 1894mm in width and 1706mm in height, while the Safari facelift will be 4661mm long, 1894mm wide and 1786mm tall.

Inside, the new Tata Harrier and the Tata Safari will continue to get a similar dashboard layout while many new features like a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a 360-degree camera will also be on offer. Other features like a wireless charger, cooled storage console, automatic climate control, seat ventilation, powered seats, power-operated side mirrors, auto-dimming IRVMs, digital instrument console, steering mounted controls, and more will also be a standard part of the package.

In addition to this, the new Tata Harrier facelift will also get a long list of safety features including many other advanced safety features including the ADAS safety suite. Features like adaptive cruise control, front collision warning, blind spot monitoring system, collision mitigation system (CMS), lane departure warning system (LDWS), driver monitoring system (DMS), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and electronic stability control (ESC) are a few of the features that will be offered with the two SUVs. More details however are yet to be known.

Having said this, the brand is likely to unveil the new Tata Harrier facelift and the Tata Safari facelift in January 2023 while the launch will take place somewhere in mid-2023. No major changes are likely to be made to the powertrain options and both the SUVs will continue to be offered with the same 2.0L diesel engine that churns out a peak power output of 168 hp while the maximum torque output stands at 350 Nm. This engine can be had either with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox option. The brand might also introduce a new turbocharged petrol engine a few months after the launch of the Harrier facelift and the Safari facelift in India.

Once launched in India, the new facelift models of the Tata Harrier facelift will take on the rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Mahindra XUV700, and more. The Safari facelift on the other hand will lock its horns with the MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, etc. More details will be shared at the time of the official launch in the country.
