The Skoda Kushaq was the first Skoda car to be launched in the country as part of the brand’s new India 2.0 program and takes on the rivals like the VW Taigun, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The SUV also boasts powerful petrol engine options, a feature-rich cabin, and strong exterior styling. Having said this, the brand is soon expected to launch the new Kushaq CNG in the Indian market and here are all the details we need to know about the upcoming Skoda Kushaq CNG.

Skoda Kushaq CNG Launch In India Soon?

For starters, the new Kushaq CNG was recently spied on test in the country and is expected to soon go on sale in the market. The new Skoda Kushaq will be one of the first CNG midsize SUVs in the country and will boast extremely affordable running costs. While more details are yet to be known about this new powertrain option, the new Skoda Kushaq CNG is likely to get a 1.0L three-cylinder engine. This engine is likely to be offered only with a manual gearbox.

At present, the new Skoda Kushaq is offered with two engine options – a 1.0L TSI petrol engine and a 1.5L TSI petrol engine. The 1.0L TSI engine churns out a peak power output of 114 bhp and a maximum torque output of 178 Nm. The 1.5L TSI engine on the other hand delivers a maximum power output and a peak torque output of 148 bhp and 250 Nm respectively. Both these engines can be had with manual as well as automatic transmission options.

The new Skoda Kushaq is priced from Rs 11.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is one of the strongest rivals to the midsize SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The new CNG version of the SUV is likely to be Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the petrol versions.
