The new Ola S1 Air is the cheapest Ola electric scooter in India and has a claimed range of 101 km on a single charge

With electric two-wheelers now getting extremely popular in the country, many new brands are launching and expanding their electric portfolio in the market. After recently introducing the Ola S1 scooter in India, Ola Electric launched its new entry-level electric scooter, the Ola S1 Air, in the market at an introductory price of Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This introductory price will be valid till October 24, after which this scooter will cost Rs 84,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Ola S1 Air Electric Scooter Launched In India

For starters, the new Ola S1 Air is offered with a smaller 2.5 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 101 km in the Eco mode. This smaller battery pack will take around 4 hours and 30 mins to fully charge from 0 to 100 per cent. This battery pack powers a hub-mounted motor that makes a peak power output of 4.5 kW and offers a cliamed top speed of 90 kmph.

In addition to this, unlike the Ola S1 and the S1 Pro, the Ola S1 Air is offered with conventional telescopic front forks and a twin rear shock absorber setup while the braking duties are now handled by drum brakes at both ends. Having said this, the new S1 Air weighs just 99 kg. For those wondering, the Ola S1 Pro has a total kerb weight of 125 kg.

Moreover, the scooter also gets a new basic single-piece tubular grab handle while the overall design language remains more or less similar to the other offerings in the brand’s line-up. In addition to this, the S1 Air offers a claimed storage space of 34 litres, as opposed to 36 litres on its more expensive siblings. The flat floorboard further makes it more practical than the other two Ola S1 electric scooters with curved floorboards.

On the features front, you will continue to get the same 7-inch touchscreen TFT display and reversing functionality while the S1 Air come equipped with MoveOS 3.0 as standard. This OS offers features like hill-hold functionality, moods, different rider profiles, and proximity alerts.

While the Ola S1 Air is priced from Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the brand claims that the deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2023.
