The new Hero Super Splendor Canvas Black was recently launched in India and now features a number of updates that make it an attractive premium commuter in India. The Super Splendor takes on the rivals like the Honda Shine, Hero Glamour, Passion Pro, TVS Raider, and the Bajaj Pulsar 125. Having said this, here is a list of all the updates and highlights that differentiate the new Hero Super Splendor from the regular models.

Design And Styling

A number of cosmetic updates make the new Super Splendor Canvas Black unique and attractive. To start with, the bike now gets an all-black paint scheme with minimal graphics that give it an elegant look. In addition to this, it also features chrome Super Splendor badging on the fuel tank. Furthermore, it also gets a gunmetal finish on the engine block while we also see similar chrome badging on the headlamp and the exhaust. Except for this, the bike remains exactly similar to the standard models. The basic bodywork and the body panels remain the same as well.

Variants And Price

The new Hero Super Splendor 125 Canvas Black is available in two variants – Drum and Disc. For those wondering, the Hero Super Splendor Drum variant price in India starts from Rs 77,430 (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the Hero Super Splendor Disc variant price is Rs 81,330 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Engine, Gearbox, And Performance

Powering the new Hero Super Splendor Canvas Black is a 124 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 10.7 bhp and 10.6 Nm of maximum torque. This engine comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and offers impressive performance and a strong low-end that makes it a great bike for everyday city commute. The long-term reliability too is better than most of the rivals.

Hardware

The new Super Splendor remains identical to the standard iteration of the bike and uses telescopic forks at the front while the rear section gets five-step adjustable pair of springs. The braking duties are handled by 130 mm drum brakes as standard. The disc brake variant however features a 240 mm disc at the front. Both the variants of the Super Splendor come with the combined braking system as standard.
