The new Toyota Fortuner will be offered with an all-new cabin, new features, new powertrain options, and revised exterior styling
The next-gen Toyota Fortuner will soon be launched in the country in the next few months and will take on other full-size SUVs in the segment like the MG Gloster and the Jeep Meridian. This new iteration of the new Fortuner will witness significant updates including new features, powertrain updates, refreshed design, and more. Having said this, here are the top five things you should know about the new 2023 New-Gen Toyota Fortuner. In addition to this, the Japanese carmaker is also working on the launch of the new Toyota Innova Hycross MPV in the country for those looking for a comfortable and premium MPV.
Upcoming 2023 Toyota Fortuner
One of the most important updates will be in the form of a new 1GD-FTV 2.8L diesel engine that will now be offered with a mild hybrid technology and integrated starter generator (ISG). Likely to be called the GD Hybrid, this new hybrid powertrain is likely to offer improved fuel economy figures while also boasting better power and torque figures.

In addition to this, the Toyota Fortuner will be based on the TNGA-F architecture that also underpins many of the other global SUVs in the brand’s line-up. The new platform will offer improved capabilities, performance, dynamics and better safety standards.
On the safety front, the new Toyota Fortuner will be offered with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) which includes features like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, automatic parking assist, forward collision warning and lane departure warning. It will also get vehicle stability control (VSC_ and electric power steering that will be replacing the existing hydraulic unit.

Inside, the new Toyota Fortuner will feature an updated dashboard with new features like an improved infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, steering-mounted controls, a semi-digital instrument cluster, electrically operated seats, push-button start, electrically operated side mirrors, connected car tech, multi-zone climate control, new electrical steering wheel unit, and more.
There will be prominent changes in terms of exterior styling and the new-gen Toyota Fortuner will continue to offer a strong road presence and will continue to offer a premium and bold design. It is also expected to be slightly larger than before and will give stronger competition to the rivals.
