Speaking of the design, the new Maruti Fronx boasts an attractive and elegant exterior design language that gives it a strong road presence and a premium loo. Having said this, the new Fronx measures 3995 mm in length, 1765 mm in width, and 1550 mm in height. The brand is however yet to disclose the ground clearance of the new Maruti Fronx while the boot capacity is rated at 308 litres.

The new Tata Punch on the other hand boasts a more SUV-ish design language and boasts elements like high-mounted LED DRLs, bumper-mounted headlights, dual-tone machine cuts, and attractive dual-tone options. As far as dimensions are concerned, the new Tata Punch measures 3,827 mm in length, 1742 mm in width, and 1615 mm in height. The wheelbase on the other hand is measured at 2445 mm. Engine, Gearbox, And Performance

The new Maruti Fronx will be offered with two powertrain options – a 1.2L NA petrol engine and a 1.0L turbo petrol. While the naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine churns out a peak power output of 90 PS and a maximum torque output of 113 Nm, the three-cylinder turbo petrol engine delivers a maximum power and torque output of 86 PS and 113 Nm respectively. Both these engines will be offered with both manual as well as automatic gearbox options. The brand is also expected to soon launch the CNG version of the new Maruti Fronx in the Indian market.

The new Tata Punch on the other hand is currently only offered with a single 1.2L petrol engine option. This engine churns out a peak power output of 86 PS while the maximum torque output stands at 113 Nm. This engine is offered with two gearbox options that include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. In addition to this, the Tata Punch will also be offered with a 1.2L CNG engine option for the buyers looking for a more affordable to run urban micro-SUV. Reports also suggest that Tata will soon launch the new Tata Punch with two new powertrain options including a turbo petrol engine and a fully-electric version.
