The new Maruti Fronx will be offered with two powertrain options – a 1.2L NA petrol engine and a 1.0L turbo petrol. While the naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine churns out a peak power output of 90 PS and a maximum torque output of 113 Nm, the three-cylinder turbo petrol engine delivers a maximum power and torque output of 86 PS and 113 Nm respectively. Both these engines will be offered with both manual as well as automatic gearbox options. The brand is also expected to soon launch the CNG version of the new Maruti Fronx in the Indian market.

The new Tata Punch on the other hand is currently only offered with a single 1.2L petrol engine option. This engine churns out a peak power output of 86 PS while the maximum torque output stands at 113 Nm. This engine is offered with two gearbox options that include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. In addition to this, the Tata Punch will also be offered with a 1.2L CNG engine option for the buyers looking for a more affordable to run urban micro-SUV.
