Mahindra recently introduced the new XUV400 electric SUV in the Indian market and will be challenging the rivals like the Tata Nexon EV Max, Hyundai Kona EV and the MG ZS EV in the Indian market. The new Mahindra XUV400 boasts a single-motor setup with rated peak power and torque output of 149 Ps and 310 Nm respectively. The motor draws its charge from a high-density 39.5 kWh battery pack that boasts a claimed range of 456 km on a single charge. The electric SUV has a top speed of 160 kmph. For those wondering, the SUV supports up to 50kW DC fast charging while you also get a 7.2 kW AC fast charger as standard. While using the DC charger, this electric SUV will take 50 mins to charge from 0 per cent to 80 per cent. The standard AC charger will take 6 hours and 30 mins to fully charge the battery from zero per cent.

The Tata Nexon EV Max on the other hand gets a 40.5 kWh battery pack that powers a single motor setup with rated peak power and torque output of 143 PS and 250 Nm respectively. The SUV has a claimed range of 437 km on a single charge while it takes around 56 mins to charge the battery to 80 per cent from zero per cent using a fast DC charger. Design And Dimensions
The new XUV400 gets a similar design language as the XUV300 but does boast many changes that distinguish it from the latter. For starters, it gets new bumpers, a closed front grille, new alloy wheels, and an updated rear design. The SUV also gets copper inserts and exclusive colour shades for buyers. As far as the dimensions are concerned, the new XUV400 electric SUV measures 4300 mm in length, 1821 mm in width, and 1634 mm in height. The wheelbase on the other hand measures 2600 mm while the ground clearance is claimed to be 190 mm. The XUV400 also boasts a large boot space with a rated capacity of 378 L.

The Tata Nexon EV Max on the other hand has a more conventional design language that is largely dominated by strong body panels, a high ground clearance, and attractive colour shades. The Nexon EV Max however is significantly smaller than the XUV400 EV. For those wondering, the new Tata Nexon EV Max measures 3993 mm in length, 1811 mm in width, and 1616 mm in height.
