The Hyundai Venue-rivalling Kia Sonet is currently being offered with three powertrain options – 1.0L Turbo Petrol, 1.5L Diesel, and 1.2L NA Petrol
Kia India recently launched the new Sonet X Line in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 13.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Just like the Seltos X Line, the Sonet X Line gets a number of cosmetic updates and a refreshed cabin. It is based on the range-topping GTX+ iteration and here are the top 5 things you should know about the new Kia Sonet X Line.

Revised Exterior Styling
For starters, the new Kia Sonet X Line gets a number of cosmetic updates that include a gloss black radiator grille, piano black front and rear skid plates, piano black ORVMs, and dual-tone alloy wheels with silver brake callipers in addition to matte graphite shark fin antenna. It is also worth noting the fact the new Sonet X Line now gets new 16-inch alloy wheels. It also gets a new silver accent running the length of the doors while you get a new X Line badge on the tailgate.

Updated Cabin
Inside, you will now get a new dual-tone colour scheme for the seat upholstery and the door pads. This new colour scheme is called the ‘Splendid Sage” and has a contrasting combination of grey and beige. The dashboard continues to feature an all-black look. What you will also get is orange stitching on the steering wheel, seats, and door pads. The headliner too is all new and features an all-black finish. No changes have been made to the features list and the car continues to be based offer all the features being offered with the top-spec GTX+ trim. These include features like a large sunroof, ventilated seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, UVO-connected car tech, LED headlamps, drive modes, front parking sensors, six airbags, ESC, traction control, and more.

Powertrain Options
The Kia Sonet X Line will be offered with two engine options – 1.0L turbo petrol engine options and a 1.5L diesel engine. The petrol engine delivers a peak power output of 120 hp while the maximum torque output stands at 172 Nm. This engine comes mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The diesel engine on the other hand delivers maximum power and torque output of 115 hp and 250 Nm respectively. This engine is offered with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Both these engines boast strong performance and impressive refinement levels.

Price
The Kia Sonet X Line price in India starts from Rs 13.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the petrol variant while the diesel version on the other hand is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As mentioned above, the X Line iteration is based on a range-topping GTX+variant.
