The new Kawasaki W175 will be the most affordable Kawasaki bike in India and will take on the rivals like the TVS Ronin and the Royal Enfield Hunter 350.

Kawasaki in India is known for its premium and high-performance bikes in the Indian market and is currently offering an extensive line-up for buyers. The Japanese bikemaker however is currently considering launching a new motorcycle in India that will be positioned as the most affordable offering in its portfolio. To be called the W175, this new bike will take on the bikes like the TVS Ronin and the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. Here are all the details that you should know about the upcoming Kawasaki W175 in India.

Kawasaki W175 – Cheapest Kawasaki Bike In India

To start with, the new Kawasaki W175 will offer retro-inspired sports styling that will be largely dominated by round headlamps, a round rearview mirror, a subtle single-seat unit, and minimal body panels that give it a clean look. Furthermore, it features blacked-out elements instead of chrome elements and also gets a pea-shooter exhaust setup. The front suspensions get fork gaiters while the spoke wheels further complement the overall retro styling. It is likely to be offered in two exterior colour options – Ebony and a dual-tone Special Edition Red.

Powering this new retro-styled bike is a 177cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine that churns out 12.8 bhp and 13.2 Nm of maximum torque. This motor, as against the Indonesian-spec iteration, gets fuel injection and is offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Indo-spec bike gets carbureted engine setup. For those wondering, fuel injection tech will help the brand keep pollution levels in check while boosting its performance.

The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with skinny 80-section tyres while the braking duties are handled by 270 mm disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic suspension at the front and twin-shock absorbers at the rear. The weight of the bike is likely to be around 135 kg. On the features front, Kawasaki W175 will be offered with a semi-digital instrument console, ABS, electric start, side-stand engine kill switch, and more.

From what we know so far, the new Kawasaki W175 will be priced from Rs 1.5-1.7 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant. Once launched in India, this new bike will take on the rivals like the TVS Ronin, Yamaha FZ-X, and the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. However, unlike the W175, most of the bikes in this segment offer a strong and feature-rich package for the buyers in the country.
