The new Jeep Grand Cherokee will be the most expensive Jeep car in India and is expected to be priced from Rs 85-90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Jeep India is all set to introduce the new Grand Cherokee SUV in November in India and recently released the first teaser of the SUV. The new Grand Cherokee will be the brand’s flagship SUV in the country and will be positioned above the Jeep Meridian. From what we know so far, the SUV is expected to be priced from Rs 85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the deliveries are expected to start by early December 2022. Here are all the details that you should check out about the upcoming Jeep Grand Cherokee in India.
Upcoming Jeep Grand Cherokee
For starters, the new Grand Cherokee will be assembled in India and the American carmaker has been testing this iteration for a long time now. It will be Jeep’s fourth locally assembled SUV, following the Wrangler, Compass, and the Meridian. In the Indian market, Jeep will launch the five-seat version of the Grand Cherokee.

On the features front, the new Grand Cherokee will be offered with many new features including multiple displays for the infotainment system and the instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, HUD, and powered tailgate in addition to other features like automatic climate control, push-button start, auto-dimming IRVMs, and more.
From what we know so far, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee will only be offered with a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine that comes paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard. In addition to this, this Jeep SUV will also offer four-wheel drive and selectable terrain modes – Auto, Sport, Mud/Sand, and Snow. The brand also confirmed that the new Grand Cherokee will also be offered with ADAS safety tech in India.

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee will take on the rivals like the Mercedes GLE, BMW X5, and Land Rover Discovery in India. While the brand will soon be launching in India, the deliveries will start only after mid-December 2022 in some cities. More details are currently being awaited.
