The new 2024 Honda Prologue electric SUV will be the first electric offering in the brand’s line-up and marks the onset of the next-gen line-up from Honda
It has been a while since Honda is working in collaboration with General Motors at the Honda Design Studio in Los Angeles on its new electric offering and the Japanese carmaker has now finally unveiled this new electric SUV in the market. Called the Honda Prologue electric SUV, this new Honda EV will be launched in 2024 in North America and will be positioned above the Honda CR-V. Here are all the details that you should know about the upcoming Honda Prologue electric SUV.
Honda Prologue Electric SUV
For starters, this new electric SUV will be built on GM’s Ultium platform that underpins other electric SUVs like the Cadillac Lyriq, the Chevrolet Blazer, and the GMC Hummer. From what we know so far, this new electric SUV will be 203 mm longer and 127 mm wider than the new Honda CR-V. It also gets smooth curves on the door panels, elegant lights, and prominent body claddings all across. The SUV also gets top-mounted LED DRLs, a sizeable fake air dam, and vertically stacked fog lamp housing in addition to large 21-inch wheels. The SUV will also get an exclusive paint finish called North Shore Pearl which is inspired by the “natural beauty and colours near Lake Tahoe in California”.

Inside, the SUV will be offered with a modern and premium cabin with an 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre and an 11-inch dully digital instrument console. In addition to this, the SUV will be offered with features like auto-dimming IRVMs, a large sunroof, steering-mounted controls, a cooled storage console, a wireless charger, and more. Needless to say, the SUV will boast a premium and well-built cabin in addition to uniform panel gaps and comfortable seats.

While the brand is yet to share the powertrain details, we are expecting the new Honda Prologue electric SUV to boast similar specs as the Chevrolet Blazer EV which offers a claimed range of over 500 km on a single charge. This setup boasts a peak power output of 557 PS and helps the SUV accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 4 seconds. Autonomous emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, front collision alert, and auto high beams are also expected to be offered with this new Honda Prologue electric SUV.
