BYD Atto 3 Launched In India - Bookings Open

BYD launched the new Atto 3 in India for buyers looking for a premium and comfortable electric crossover. The new BYD Atto 3 will be sold alongside the BYD e6 in the market and promises to be a strong alternative for anyone looking for a practical and cheap-to-run electric car. The bookings have commenced in India for a token amount of Rs 50,000. Here are all the details that you should check about this latest electric SUV in the Indian market.

BYD Atto 3 Bookings Open

For starters, the new BYD Atto 3 will be brought into the country via the SKD (Semi-knocked Down) assembly route which will help the brand keep the costs in check. The deliveries of the first 500 units of the Atto 3 EV are will start from January 2023 and it will rival the cars like the MG ZS EV, Tata Nexon EV, and the Hyundai Kona facelift. It will be sold alongside the new BYD e6 in India.

Powering the new BYD Atto 3 is a front axle-mounted 210 hp motor with a maximum claimed output of 310 Nm. It draws power from a 60.48 kWh battery pack that has an ARAI-claimed driving range of 531 km on a single charge. The SUV is compatible with an 80 kW DC fast charger that can charge the Atto 3 from 0 to 80 per cent in just 50 minutes. The users can also charge the SUV using a Type 2 AC charger that fully charges it in 10 hours. Furthermore, it can also be used to charge external electrical appliances up to a power output of 3.3 kW.

Inside, you will be offered with a premium and feature-rich cabin that get features like a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument console, automatic climate control, auto-dimming IRVM, push-button start, steering mounted control and wireless mobile charger. In addition to this, the new Atto 3 also boasts features like a powered front driver and passenger seats.

On the safety front, it gets a 360-degree camera, ABS, ESC, traction control, hill descent control, 7 airbags, and ADAS safety tech that comprises of features like automatic emergency braking, blindspot monitoring, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control and front and rear collision warning. It is also offered with a three-year free subscription of 4G Data, a 6-year roadside assistance package and six free maintenance services as a part of the promotional package.
