The BSA Gold Star 650 is currently one of the most anticipated offerings in the Indian market and is expected to make its India debut somewhere in 2023. The new BSA Gold Star 650 was first showcased in December last year and boasts a strong retro styling in addition to powerful engine options and commendable dynamics. The price of the bike starts from Euro 6500 in UK approx INR 6.2 lakh)(ex-showroom) and is expected to be significantly more affordable in India due to localised production. Having said this, here are all the details about the upcoming BSA Gold Star 650 that you should check out.

Upcoming BSA Gold Star 650 In India

For starters, the new BSA Gold Star 650 will be powered by a 652 cc, four valve, liquid cooled petrol engine with a DOHC setup. This engine churns out a peak power output of 45 bhp while the peak torque output stands at 55 Nm. With maximum torque starting getting built from as low as 1800 rpm, this engine boasts a strong low-end and thus offers an impressive city riding experience. For those wondering, this engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and boasts commendable refinement levels. The fuel tank capacity stands at 12L while the bike has a total kerb weight of 213 kg.

The bike is underpinned by tubular steel, a dual cradle frame and looks similar to the original BSA Gold Star bikes. On the design front, it gets a similar retro-styling and not only gets large metal mudguards and round headlamps, but also gets an attractive teardrop-shaped fuel tank, reverse sweep instrument console, and spoke wheels. It also utilises a lot of chrome and looks extremely attractive and premium from a distance. The wheel size at the front is measured at 18 inches while the rear wheels are 17-inch in. We also get performance-spec Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres with the new Gold Start 650 in the global markets.

The package of the new BSA Gold Star 650 remains basic and it continues to be offered with a twin-pod analogue speedometer and tachometer while a small LCD unit also finds its place in the centre. We also get features like a handlebar-mounted USB charger, slipper clutch, LED tail lights, and electric start. The suspension duties are handled by a 41mm telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The braking setup consists of a single disc brake at the front as well as at the rear. For those wondering, the bike boasts Brembo callipers and dual channel ABS as a standard part of the package.
