Nissan Magnite Gets Increased Safety Features As Standard And Is Now RDE-compliant

The RDE norms, which will go into effect on April 1 of this year, are currently the biggest news for the car business. As a result, all automakers are upgrading their models to meet the new pollution standards. Nissan Magnite has also gotten these upgrades. Furthermore, the Magnite now comes equipped with a slew of safety features as standard across all versions. Traction control, a tyre pressure tracking system, electronic stability control, dual airbags, hill start assist, ABS with EBD, and hydraulic brake aid are now standard on the compact SUV. With the news updates, prices for the 2023 Nissan Magnite start at Rs 5.97 lakh and go up to Rs 10.58 lakh ex-showroom. 

2023 Nissan Magnite – Engine & Gearbox

The Magnite compact SUV is currently available with two engine choices – 1.0L NA petrol and 1.0L turbo-petrol. The naturally-aspirated petrol motor is capable of putting out 72 PS of peak power and 96 Nm of max torque. The turbocharged unit is capable of producing a rated power output of 100 PS 160 Nm of max torque. Transmission options on the Magnite include a 5-speed MT and CVT. The former can be had with both engine choices, while the latter is reserved for the turbocharged unit only. Talking of mileage, the compact SUV has a claimed figure of 17-19.26 kmpl, varying as per variants.

The compact SUV boasts an appealing design language, which makes it rather lucrative in terms of looks. In terms of dimensions, it tapes in at 3,994 mm for length, 1,758 mm for width, and 1,572 mm in height. The Magnite gets a wheelbase of 2,500 mm, which along with a ground clearance of 205 mm gives it enough ramp over angle to go over big speed bumps and potholes. With a 336 litres of boot space, the Magnite can also haul some luggage. The Magnite also has another arsenal up its sleeves – it comes with anti-roll bars on front, like the Kicks.
