The bike, which was on sale earlier, was taken off the shelves after the BS6 emission norms kicked into action in the country. The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 400 BS6 price now starts from Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which makes it Rs 1.85 lakh more expensive than the KTM RC 390, one of its chief rivals in the segment. Styling And Design

Just like before, the new BS6 Nija 400 continues to offer an extremely attractive and aggressive design that gives it a strong identity on the roads. From some angles, the bike might remind you of the more expensive and powerful Ninja H2. The front fascia is largely dominated by slim dual LED headlamps, sleek LED DRLs, transparent windscreen, front cowl-mounted funky rear view mirrors, low-set wide handlebar, sculpted fuel tank, spilt-seat design, and upswept exhaust. The body panels oo complement the design and make the Ninja 400 look bigger than what it actually is. In all, the Kawasaki Ninja 400 BS6 continues to be a great-looking bike and will impress you with its aggressive stance and strong road presence.

The Kawasaki Ninja 400 BS6 is available in two colour options –

The Kawasaki Ninja 400 is powered by a BS6 complaint 399 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, DOHC, 8-valve motor. This engine churns out a peak power and torque output of 45 PS and 37 Nm respectively. A 6-speed manual transmission comes mated to this engine. While this motor has been tuned to deliver optimal performance across the rev range, it is only after the mid-range that it becomes lively. Needless to say, the refinement levels are great and you will enjoy pushing the bike hard.

Specs, Dimensions, and Weight

The Ninja 400 is underpinned by a Trellis high-tensile steel frame that utilizes telescopic forks at the front while the rear suspension setup consists of a gas-charged mono-shock swingarm unit. The braking duties are handled by single 286 mm disc brakes at the front and 193 mm single disc brakes at the rear. The bike also gets dual-channel ABS and dual-piston brakes at the front as well as at the rear. While the seat height is measured to be 785 mm, the bike measures 1990 mm in length, 710 mm in width, and 1120 mm in height. The wheelbase on the other hand stands at 1370 mm. For those wondering, the Ninja 400 BS6 weighs 168 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres.

In terms of features, the Kawasaki Ninja 400 is only available with limited gizmos. For starters, it gets a semi-digital hybrid cockpit instrument console with an analogue tachometer. Moving on, the bike is also available with features like LED headlights, an assist and slipper clutch, an ECO indicator on the dash, and dual-channel ABS. A gear-shift indicator is also on offer and is placed in the centre of the instrument console.
