Having launched the all-new Jeep Meridian 7-seater SUV early this year, this American car manufacturer is now all set to introduce its flagship SUV for the Indian market. The all-new fifth-gen Jeep Grand Cherokee has been officially teased by the carmaker on its social media platforms and it will be launched in India on November 11, 2022. 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Design
The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee made its world premiere in September 2021. Talking about the design, it borrows styling elements from the Jeep Wagoneer and the Meridian and looks unmistakably a Jeep offering. The SUV will sport a seven-slat grille which will be flanked by slim headlights with LED DRLs. Other design highlights will include five-spoke alloy wheels and LED taillamps.

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Features
The upcoming Jeep Grand Cherokee will be the company’s flagship SUV in India and sit above the Compass, Meridian, and Wrangler in the portfolio. Being a premium product, it will be loaded with features up to the brim. Moreover, the India-spec Grand Cherokee will be a five-seater SUV.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee will get a large 10.1-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and another dedicated touchscreen for the front passenger. The SUV will also feature a large panoramic sunroof, a heads-up display, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) tech.

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Engine and Gearbox
Globally, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is offered with multiple engine and gearbox combinations, depending on the market, including diesel powertrains. However, the India-spec model is likely to get a turbocharged petrol motor too. The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee is expected to draw power from a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. While its power and torque figures aren’t known yet, the motor will be paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and get four-wheel drive as standard along with multiple terrain modes.

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Price and Rivals
The new fifth-gen Jeep Grand Cherokee will be launched in India on November 11, 2022, and that’s when we will get to know its official prices. Talking about expectations, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is expected to be priced under Rs 90 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. At this price point, this flagship American SUV will take on the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, and Land Rover Discovery in the Indian market.
