The 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160 is the third new bike from the brand after the Pulsar N250 and the Pulsar F250
The new 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160 was launched in the Indian market a couple of days back and is the third new Bajaj variant to receive a major update this year. The 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160 price in India starts from Rs 1.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base variant. A number of updates have been made to this bike and here are the top five things to know about the newly launched 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160 in India.
2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160 Variants And Price
Two variants of the Bajaj Pulsar N16 are currently on sale. These include a single channel ABS variant and a dual channel ABS variant. The Pulsar N160 single channel ABS cost in India starts from Rs 1.23 lakh (ex-showroom) while the dual-channel variant on the other hand is priced at Rs 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In addition to this, the N160 single channel variant can be had in Caribbean Blue, Racing Red and Techno Grey colour. The dual-channel variant however is only offered in Brooklyn Black colour. The Bajaj Pulsar N160 2022 is the only bike in the segment to offer a dual-channel ABS.

New Exhaust And Styling Updates
The 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160 now features a new underbelly exhaust that might remind you of the NS160. The larger models in the brand’s line-up in India feature a larger side-slung exhaust. Apart from this, the bike now boasts styling language that might remind you of the more expensive N250 and features an LED projector headlamp, slim LED DRLs on either side, fuel tank, tank extensions, split seats, alloy wheels, and tail-lights similar to what we see on the Pulsar N250.
New Underpinnings
The bike is now underpinned by a new tubular frame chassis that is not only lighter but also offers better dynamics. We see a similar setup in other new Bajaj bikes like the N250 and the F250. The bike also offers first-in-segment dual channel ABS while the braking setup comprises of disc brakes at both ends. The dual channel ABS variants offer a larger 300 mm disc at the front while the single channel ABS variants offer 280 mm discs. The rear disc size is standard on both variants and measures 230 mm in size.

Engine, Gearbox, And Performance
The Pulsar N160 now features a new 164.82 cc, oil-cooled, single cylinder engine that churns out 16 hp and 14.65 Nm of peak torque output. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Unlike the NS160, the Pulsar N160 gets a 2-valve set-up that may not boast an extremely strong top-end but does offer affordable maintenance and long-term reliability.
Wheels, Suspension, And Kerb Weight
The suspension setup of the 2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160 comprises of 37 mm telescopic forks at the front and mono shock at the rear. The wheel size on the other hand stands at 100/80-R17 at the front and 130/70-R17 at the rear. The new alloy wheels not only look great but their light weight does help in improving the performance and fuel economy.
The kerb weight of the Bajaj Pulsar N16 2022 is as follows:
- Single Channel ABS – 152 kg
- Dual Channel ABS – 154 kg
