Book Test DriveMG India has introduced a minor facelift for the Gloster at a starting price of t Rs 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It has even reshuffled the trim line-up long with discontinuing the Smart trim. With this, it’s now available in Super, Sharp and Savvy trims. The updates for the SUV are minimal but effective. Its ADAS package now offers three new features in the form of Door Open Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist. The iSmart connected car suite now offers 35 new Hinglish voice commands. It’s now even compatible with Apple as well as Android smartwatches. There’s even an updated MapMyIndia app along with a new Park Plus app. Exterior updates include new 18-inch alloy wheels and Deep Golden colour option. Specs remain unchanged, which means the lower-spec model is available with a 163hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine with 4×2. The higher models get a 218hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine with 4×4. The only direct rival of the MG Gloster is the Toyota Fortuner but it even competes with the Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq on the pricing front.
