While some may be saddened by the loss of Ian Callum’s sensuous design, others may be saddened by the removal of the supercharged V6 engine from the lineup. The F-Type is offered with two powertrains: a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol with 297bhp/400Nm and a 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol with 444bhp/580Nm and 567bhp/700Nm. The more powerful V8 engine drives the R versions, which are only available with an AWD powertrain. All engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox made by ZF.
