Porsche 718 Boxster Summary
The Boxster and Cayman, Porsche’s smallest sportscar twins, receive a new moniker that unites them — the Porsche 718. The drop-top roadster will be known as the 718 Boxster, while the hardtop coupe will be known as the Cayman. The most essential aspect for Porsche aficionados is its engineering. The 718 receives two new engines, a 2.0-litre and a 2.5-litre four-cylinder. Porsche has kept the engines’ characteristic boxer configuration. The Boxster and Cayman will be powered by a 2.0-litre engine with 295bhp and 380Nm torque, while the ‘S’ models will be powered by a 2.5-litre engine with 345bhp and 420Nm torque. The Porsche 718 twins will fight with the BMW Z4, Mercedes SLC 43 AMG, and Ford Mustang.
